Built from stock cars and modified into limousines
All limousines are actually designed from stock models. The cars are cut in half, before being stretched with additional materials. The back and front of the car are therefore exactly the same as the original model, it’s just the middle which has been added in.
Prior to being cut in half, the cars are fully stripped on the inside. Then workers use a reciprocating saw to cut the car in half. The two halves are separated, and steel frame rails are added to both ends. A galvanised steel floor is installed, then steel roof rails are added and connected to the rails in the original vehicle. 
The rest of the build is pretty complex, adding the roof, connecting the electrics and customising the limo. There’s actually a lot of work which goes on to stretch a limo, including adding extended tailpipes and brake lights.
Can any car be turned into a stretch limo?
The majority of cars can be turned into stretch limousines, though there are some limitations. It all comes down to the framework and structure of the vehicles.
In order to keep structural stability, there are limits as to how far the cars can be stretched. So, while many models such as Chrysler and Lincoln, can be safely stretched, some may not be fully safe to expand.
